Business / Computer Technology Instructor South Mountain, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22619661 Summary South Mountain, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 1 Years Experience Bachelor's degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description The Tuscarora Intermediate Unit invites applicants for a Business/Computer Technology Instructor at South Mountain Secure Treatment Unit for the 2026-2027 school year. To be considered for an open position, applicants must upload the following required clearances: Act 24 Arrest and Conviction Report Act 34 Pennsylvania Criminal History Clearance Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance Act 114 Federal Criminal History Clearance Links to these clearances can be found here: https://www.tiu11.org/human-resources/ Business/Computer Technology Instructor for Correctional Education Facilities shall be directly responsible to the Director of Correctional and Alternative Education or designee for supervision and evaluation.
Fundamental Duties:
Provide training and instruction to assigned students. Develop and implement individualized plans of instruction (IPI). Prepare and submit reports as required. Provide learning support to the assigned students. Keep staff abreast of students' programs. Develop/maintain updated student records and reports. Attend in-services and workshop meetings, as required. Maintain the care and inventory of books, supplies, etc., provided by the IU. Adhere to all Institutional and IU security, safety and program requirements. Ability to utilize technology for instructional and classroom management purposes. Report to the Educational Director or designee any problems or concerns which may arise. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Correctional and Alternative Education or designee.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individuals must possess these skills, knowledge and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or other employees. Ability to communicate effectively orally in English. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language. Ability to lift and carry 50 pound items. Ability to instruct -Microsoft Office and other related computer applications

Education:
Possess a Pennsylvania Certificate for Instructional I or II, Business/Communication Information Technology Instructor Degree or related Business/Computer degree Correctional education Experience Preferred A review of this job description has excluded the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties.
