Job Summary:
Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled. The Youth Program employs Adjunct Instructors to develop and teach non-credit courses offered intermittently throughout the year to students in grades 2 through 12. These courses are primarily hands-on, interactive classes taught in face-to-face sessions. These short-term classes may be offered as one-week summer camps or as six-week (12 hour) after-school classes. This is an intermittent position and regular hours are not guaranteed. The Youth Program is currently seeking Adjunct Instructors with teaching and/or training experience in the following disciplines: Anatomy and/or Physiology, Artificial Intelligence, Biology, Digital Filmmaking, Medical Science, Nursing, Painting, Photography, and Robotics. Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community. LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan. Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience OR teaching and/or training experience in one of the following subject areas: Anatomy and/or Physiology, Artificial Intelligence, Biology, Digital Filmmaking, Medical Science, Nursing, Painting, Photography, or Robotics.
