We are an integral part of the community, providing much needed support for families, schools, and children. What are the hours like? Hours are based on school district schedules. Pay rate is based on student enrollment and length of student enrollment. What are the duties and responsibilities? Preview course(s) and become familiar with online content and course requirements Provide bi-weekly/weekly reports via e-mail to Ignite's administrative team by set deadlines Provide final grades via progress reports upon request of Ignite's administrative team Respond to student communication within 24 school hours Contact your students via platform communication tools at least once per week regarding assignments and deadlines Grade any assignments or assessments required throughout the course (exams, papers, projects, etc.) within 48 school hours of submission Provide office hours for 1 hour per week per class being taught. Office hours must be shared regularly through platform communication. Monitor assignments and assessments to determine if the curriculum is being delivered effectively Notify Ignite's administrative team immediately if a student is failing or not participating Provide feedback to Ignite's administrative team based on your online teaching experience Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times. What are the required qualifications? PA Teaching Certificate in Physics. Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started. Ability to quickly establish rapport with students and adapt to different classroom settings. Strong classroom management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching assignments. Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
