Sep 1, 2026 Job Description Bishop Hendricken High School is a Catholic, all-boys college preparatory school committed to academic excellence and the formation of young men in faith and character. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Part-Time Teacher to join our Math and Science departments. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both math and science, specifically in the areas of biology, algebra and geometry. In addition, they will foster academic excellence, inspire intellectual curiosity, and support the school's mission of educating young men in a Catholic learning environment. The teacher will provide engaging instruction in mathematics and/or science courses while promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and student growth.
  • Plan and deliver effective instruction in assigned mathematics and science courses.
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and school objectives.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Assess student learning through quizzes, tests, projects, labs, and other evaluation methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administrators.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as appropriate.
  • Uphold the values, mission, and educational philosophy of the school.
