Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into the exciting environment of a top-performing high school and inspire the next generation of scientists as a General Education/AP Physics Teacher. This one-year, full-time contract offers a rewarding opportunity to work with highly motivated students in a supportive and academically-driven setting. You'll have the chance to make a tangible impact, guiding learners through foundational and advanced physics concepts, while collaborating with experienced faculty members.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Physics (no exceptions) Successful completion of Praxis II test #5266 Active South Carolina Educator Teaching Certification in Secondary Physics or Science with AP endorsement (pending certifications not accepted) 30-hour Professional Certification Endorsement strongly preferred (candidates meeting all other requirements may be considered) Previous teaching experience in a general education or AP setting is advantageous
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction in general and Advanced Placement Physics to diverse groups of students Foster a positive learning environment that supports academic excellence and innovative thinking Design, adapt, and implement lesson plans and curriculum in alignment with school initiatives Evaluate and monitor student performance, providing consistent feedback and support Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to ensure holistic student development Participate in ongoing professional development and school activities
