Job Description
York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State. The Paramedic Instructor performs the following functions: Teaching Performance - Instructs courses in accordance with the approved syllabi and CoAEMSP standards. Provides students with appropriate course materials (syllabus, calendar, policy statements or guidelines). Adheres to course competencies in the preparation and delivery of quality instruction. Provides appropriate and timely feedback to students. Maintains a positive environment for optimum student performance. Instruction includes assessment planning, student performance tracking, and evaluation of Paramedic curriculum. Effectively instructs live and online courses. Instructional Development - Develops and maintains course syllabi and curriculum. Maintains current course materials in college's online learning platform and SharePoint site. Develops courses for live in-person and online training environments. Student Advisement - Provides appropriate academic and career guidance to students. May be assigned to develop and coordinate varied programming within the Division. Instructional Management -Maintains records and documentation required for students according to accreditation standards. Maintains equipment and supplies utilized in the program. Inspects and ensures equipment is in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Performs inventory control. Completes required reports and course documentation
