Exempt Job Summary The Department of Biology seeks candidates qualified to teach courses at any level of instruction in the department curriculum. This is a part-time, pooled position filled on an as-needed basis. Essential Job Functions Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students' grades. Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of the department, and composition director.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should have an earned graduate degree in Biology or other relevant teaching discipline.
Supplemental Information Key Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 25 lbs and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing, and walking between buildings.
