Math & Science Teacher, Team Lead:
Leadership Education Foundation DBA Arrow Academy; Bryan, TX 77803. Serve as a Team Leader and provide guidance to other Math & Science Teachers in instructional development by serving and collaborating to improve curriculum. Plan and teach a program of study in the adopted Texas curriculum for general education students and emergent bilingual students in the 3rd and 4th grade to promote involvement and learning; Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and interests; Prepare materials and classroom for activities to sustain students' interest in the subject; Prepare weekly lesson, and outlines for math curriculum requirements of states and school; Design appropriate teaching plans and schedules; Use computers or other different teaching technologies to aid and supplement math curriculum; Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and communicate these objectives to the students; Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students; Design student assessment system and methodologies; Prepare, administer and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student's progress; Assign lessons and correct homework; Encourage students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing progress. Provide guidance and mentorship to new intern teachers on campus, offering support and modeling best practices.
Requirements/Special Skills:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited University. No specific field of study required. Must possess a valid Texas Educator Certificate from the State Board for
Educator Certification:
Core Subjects, Grades (EC-6). Must have passed and completed certification examination for the TExES English as a Second Language (ESL) Supplemental (154) and TExES Science of Teaching Reading (293).
