Job Description
Looking for a: Part-Time High School Science Teacher (Physics and/or Chemistry) Denton Calvary Academy - Denton, TX Denton Calvary Academy is seeking a qualified Christian educator to teach one or more high school science courses, including Physics and/or Chemistry , in our University-Model® program. This is a part-time position with classes meeting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday . Our University-Model allows teachers to focus on classroom instruction while students complete guided assignments at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Qualifications A personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must affirm the school's Statement of Faith. Bachelor's degree in science, education, engineering, or a related field. Experience teaching high school Physics and/or Chemistry is preferred. Teaching certification is preferred but not required. Ability to teach one or more high school science courses, including Physics and/or Chemistry. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Desire to mentor students academically and spiritually. Responsibilities Prepare and teach engaging, college-preparatory science classes. Assess student learning and provide timely feedback. Communicate effectively with parents and administration. Integrate a biblical worldview throughout instruction. Participate in faculty meetings and school events as appropriate.
