Job Description

Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our educational team at Orange County High as a full-time Science Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science, fostering a love for learning and critical thinking skills. This position offers an opportunity to engage with diverse learners and contribute to a collaborative and innovative teaching environment. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and promote student understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for science.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Assess student performance through regular evaluations, assignments, and tests, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic performance and behavior.
  • Organize and supervise laboratory experiments and hands-on activities that enhance students' understanding of scientific principles.
  • Stay current with advancements in science education and integrate relevant topics into the curriculum.
  • Participate in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities to support the overall mission of the school. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field;
  • Valid state teaching certification in Science or willing to obtain
  • Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and ability to effectively communicate them to students.
  • Experience in teaching middle or high school students preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a lifelong love for science.
Pay:
$56,442.00
  • $78,551.
