Immediately Job Description Soar Learning Center is hiring a science teacher who thinks beyond the textbook! We foster a learning environment that empowers students to explore, question, experiment, and grow both academically and personally.Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high school-level science in a small classroom setting, managing daily instruction and promoting positive classroom behavior.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, labs, projects, and assessments that align with academic standards while remaining responsive to student interests and learning levels.
- Create hands-on learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry.
- Adapt instruction and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with IEPs or behavioral support plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including special educators, behavior consultants, and administrators to ensure individualized support for each student.
- Contribute to a positive school culture and help students meet both academic and personal growth goals. What we're looking for:
- Equivalent experience in science instruction preferred.
- Passion for alternative education, relationship-based teaching, and experiential learning.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
