High School Science Teacher Full-Time | 2026-2027

Faith Christian Academy | Wausau, Wisconsin About Our School We are an accredited private Christian school partnering with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and participating in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP). Our mission is to provide Christ-centered, academically excellent education that equips students to grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and committed High School Science Teacher to teach courses such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science. The ideal candidate will integrate a biblical worldview into science instruction while fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and academic excellence. Essential Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction Integrate biblical truth and a Christian worldview into all subject areas Assess student learning and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and WPCP requirements Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student growth Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Support the school's mission, statement of faith, and code of conduct Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree (in Science Education or related field is preferred but not required) Eligible to work in the United States Meets Wisconsin Private School / WPCP teacher eligibility requirements, including: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Background check clearance Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and agreement with the school's Statement of Faith Preferred Current or eligible for ACSI certification Teaching experience at the secondary level Wisconsin DPI licensure (preferred but not required for private schools) Faith & Lifestyle Requirements A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ Active participation in a local Christian church Commitment to modeling Christian character and lifestyle consistent with Scripture Willingness to integrate faith into all aspects of teaching and relationships with students Employment Classification & Compensation This is a full-time, exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), as it meets the professional teaching exemption criteria. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits may include health benefit programs, retirement contributions, paid time off, and tuition discounts (if applicable).
