Enrichment Instructors lead exciting engineering and LEGO-based lessons that inspire creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact through education. Enrichment Instructors report directly to the Lead Enrichment Instructor and receive training on all curriculum and program procedures. No teaching certification or college degree is required. Key Responsibilities Program Instruction Deliver engaging STEM enrichment lessons using the Young Engineers curriculum. Facilitate hands-on engineering and building activities. Create a positive, energetic, and inclusive classroom environment. Encourage student participation, teamwork, and creativity. Maintain high levels of student engagement throughout each class. Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Celebrate student accomplishments and encourage a growth mindset. Classroom Management Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment. Manage student behavior using positive behavior management strategies. Follow all school and organizational policies. Ensure students remain supervised at all times. Address classroom challenges professionally and proactively. Communicate concerns to the Lead Enrichment Instructor when needed. Program Operations Arrive on time and prepared for each class. Set up and break down materials before and after lessons. Take and submit student attendance records. Assist with inventory organization and material accountability. Follow program procedures and operational expectations. Support special events, showcases, demonstrations, and family engagement activities as requested. Parent & School Interaction Greet parents, caregivers, and school staff professionally. Share positive student experiences and accomplishments. Direct parent questions or concerns to the Lead Enrichment Instructor when appropriate. Represent Young Engineers positively within the school community. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Experience working with children in any capacity, including: After-school programs Summer camps Childcare centers Recreation programs Youth sports Church or community organizations Tutoring or mentoring programs Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable transportation to assigned program sites. Ability to lift and carry instructional materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to pass any required background screening. Preferred Experience leading groups of children. Experience in STEM, robotics, LEGO programs, education, or youth development. Current college students pursuing education, engineering, science, or related fields. Former educators, paraprofessionals, or youth program staff.

Arrive prepared and on time. Build positive relationships with students. Deliver lessons with enthusiasm and consistency. Maintain strong classroom management. Receive positive feedback from students, families, and school partners. Demonstrate reliability and professionalism.
