Part-Time Dressage & Riding Instructor Join a

Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday ( evenings Tues-Fri + full-day Saturdays required ) Why You'll Love Working With Us At Dutch Acres Farm, we're not just teaching riding — we're building confident, capable horsemen and a strong, welcoming community . We're a great fit for instructors who: Value correct fundamentals and biomechanics Enjoy teaching both serious riders and casual learners Want to be part of a positive, encouraging, family-oriented barn culture Appreciate a program that prioritizes safety, education, and long-term development What You'll Be Teaching Dressage through Second Level Beginner English lessons Riders of all ages (3+) and skill levels , from tiny tots to more advanced riders We are especially interested in someone who can help develop more advanced riders (ideally through First Level dressage) , while also being a team player and stepping into beginner lessons when needed. Your Role Teach structured, safe, and engaging riding lessons Develop riders using correct fundamentals, balanced seat, and biomechanics Adapt teaching style to suit individual rider goals and abilities Assist with show preparation and attend off-site shows Participate in 2-3 on-site farm shows annually Support barn operations as needed (medications, light horse care, etc.) Schedule Expectations Teach approximately 4-6 lessons per evening (Tues-Fri) Full-day Saturdays required (lessons, open barn support, ground instruction) Compensation & Benefits $20 per rider, per mounted lesson (maximum 2 riders per group session) $30 per unmounted lesson Free board for one horse (with conditions) PTO after 6-month probation period W-2 employee status Shows & Riding Instructors are expected to assist at shows and may travel with students Personal riding is done on your own time and is not compensated What We're Looking For Strong understanding of dressage fundamentals Ability to teach or grow into teaching up to First Level dressage USDF show record preferred (or strong riding background) CHA certification preferred , but not required Teaching experience is not mandatory if riding/show background is strong Positive, patient, and team-oriented mindset We can teach you how to teach — but you must understand the sport.
