Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Youth Martial Arts Instructor and empower children through engaging martial arts training. You will lead classes that promote fitness, discipline, and confidence, fostering a positive environment where young learners can develop their skills and enjoy the process. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives. Responsibilities Lead engaging martial arts classes tailored for children, focusing on physical, social, and emotional skill development. Design age-appropriate training programs that incorporate Karate, Judo, Boxing, Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and/or other martial arts disciplines. Maintain a safe environment by implementing effective behavior management strategies and clear expectations. Communicate effectively with school faculty, parents, and guardians about student progress and class updates. Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, respect, personal growth, and autonomy among students. Experience Prior experience working with children in a sports or educational setting is highly preferred. References and resources may be requested for verification purposes. Background in martial arts such as Karate, Judo, and/or other disciplines is essential; coaching or teaching experience is a plus. Rank, lineage, and gym/team affiliation(s) may be requested for verification purposes. Must be certified or willing to obtain first aid, CPR, and AED training and certification immediately upon hiring. Proven ability to lead team-based activities and manage behavior effectively in a classroom environment. Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and positively. Familiarity with working with children of various ages and abilities is advantageous.
