Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Taekwondo Instructor and inspire students of all ages to develop confidence, discipline, and physical fitness through the art of martial arts. In this energetic role, you will lead engaging classes that promote skill mastery, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Your passion for teaching and martial arts expertise will create a motivating environment where students thrive physically and mentally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while fostering a love for martial arts in our community. Responsibilities Lead structured Taekwondo classes for diverse age groups, ensuring all participants receive clear instruction and encouragement. Develop customized training plans that cater to individual skill levels and learning objectives. Demonstrate proper techniques for kicks, punches, stances, forms (poomsae), sparring, and self-defense. Monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and celebrating achievements. Enforce safety protocols during all activities to prevent injuries and promote a safe training environment. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies. Organize belt testing sessions, competitions, and special events to motivate students and showcase their progress. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and staff to support student development both inside and outside the training facility. Maintain cleanliness and organization of training equipment and martial arts facilities. Stay current with martial arts trends, certifications, and best practices to enhance instructional quality. Skills Proven experience in Taekwondo, Kukkiwon certification is required. Strong background in sports coaching, teaching physical education or childcare environments. Prior experience working with children or students of various age groups with excellent behavior management skills. Ability to demonstrate martial arts techniques clearly while maintaining an energetic teaching style. Excellent communication skills to motivate students and collaborate effectively with parents and team members. Experience in health clubs or gyms is advantageous for understanding fitness principles relevant to martial arts training. Passion for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages discipline, respect, and personal growth. Familiarity with safety standards related to physical activity supervision such as lifeguard experience is beneficial but not required.
