Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a professional, passionate & experienced Horsemanship Instructor to join our inclusive team to teach an adaptable program. We serve all children and adults from 4+, including those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with horses and experience as an instructor ensuring the safety and well-being of both students and horses.
Must:
Have great communication skills Be self motivated Be a team player Have organizational skills Duties Provide hands-on instruction in riding techniques, horse care, and safety protocols. Instruct semi-private group and private riding lessons for youth and adults Conduct assessments of students' skills and progress, offering constructive feedback for improvement. Independently instruct lessons based on specific curriculum Ensure the proper care and management of horses, including groundwork, grooming, feeding, and health monitoring. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and respect for horses. Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and areas for development. Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. Experience Knowledge of horse care and basic riding/handling skills are a must. Strong communication skills to educate and adapt to students individual learning needs rquired. Previous experience as an instructor or in a similar role is preferred. Background in child development a plus. Certification in first aid is advantageous but not required.
