Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on inspiring others through martial arts, fostering a positive and motivating environment, and sharing their expertise in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As an instructor, you will lead classes, develop training programs, and motivate students of all ages and skill levels to achieve their personal best. Your enthusiasm for martial arts combined with excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming atmosphere where students feel empowered and excited to learn. Duties Lead engaging Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes for students of various ages and experience levels, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Develop customized training plans that cater to individual goals, skill levels, and physical capabilities. Demonstrate techniques clearly and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills effectively. Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing rules, managing behavior, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained. Foster a positive team environment by collaborating with fellow instructors and supporting team events or competitions. Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress, class schedules, and upcoming events. Promote a culture of discipline, respect, and sportsmanship within the martial arts community. Skills Proven experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coaching or instruction, with a strong understanding of martial arts fundamentals. Prior experience working with children and adolescents in a coaching or teaching capacity. Knowledge of sports-specific training techniques and experience teaching physical education or sports coaching such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, or climbing is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct students and engage with parents or guardians. Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining discipline during classes. Background in sports team leadership or coaching roles that demonstrate motivation, organization, and teamwork skills. Experience working in health clubs or gym environments with familiarity in childcare practices is advantageous.
