Job Description

A Rewarding Summer Role for Educators and Youth Professionals ASSIST partners with school districts to provide engaging enrichment programs that support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. We're expanding into Colorado for Summer 2026 with Denver Public Schools and looking for four dependable, motivated instructors to lead morning enrichment for DPS elementary students. This is an ideal summer role for classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, coaches, after-school staff, and college students in education or kinesiology who want meaningful, flexible summer work without a full-day commitment. You'll deliver a proven, weekly-rotating curriculum spanning sports, arts, and social-emotional learning — with full training, lesson plans, and supplies provided.
Schedule:
Part-time, Seasonal | Monday-Friday mornings
Program Dates:
June 8 - July 31, 2026 (8 weeks)
Daily Hours:
2-3 hours per day between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM (varies daily based on program schedule)
Location:
Denver Public Schools (single site within DPS, location TBD) Your Impact Lead morning enrichment activities for DPS elementary students Deliver a rotating weekly curriculum including:
Sports:
Basketball Skills, Pickleball, Flag Football, Volleyball, Multi-Sports Mania Arts & SEL:
Nature Art Explorers, Drama Explorers, Tune & Move Time Movement & Wellness:
Structured Rec Games, Fitness & Nutrition, Rotating Intramural Sports Supervise and engage students throughout each session, ensuring safety and a positive group culture Build positive relationships that support students' social-emotional growth Collaborate with DPS site staff and ASSIST program leadership Manage daily setup, supplies, breakdown, and attendance tracking Communicate with parents at drop-off and pickup as needed

Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older Ability to pass a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and FBI fingerprint-based background check TB clearance required High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's, Bachelor's, or current education coursework strongly preferred) Prior experience working with elementary-aged children in a structured group setting (classroom, camp, after-school, recreation, tutoring, coaching, etc.) Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training stipend available if needed before program start) Reliable transportation to assigned DPS program site If you're a teacher, coach, or youth professional looking for rewarding summer work that finishes by noon and keeps you connected to kids, we encourage you to apply.
