• 22 per hour + program growth incentives Opportunity to grow into Summer Camp Director Job Overview The Pueblo Tennis and Pickleball Center (PTPC) is a year-round racquet sports facility featuring three indoor tennis courts, six indoor pickleball courts, and six outdoor pickleball courts.

We offer lessons, leagues, clinics, camps, court rentals, and recreational programming for youth and adults. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and creative person to help us develop, launch, and lead a brand-new Friday Youth Camp program. This is not a position where you're simply stepping into an established camp and following someone else's plan. We want the right person to help us shape the program—bringing ideas, energy, and personality to create a Friday experience that kids enjoy and parents value. Our Friday program will combine tennis, pickleball, sports, games, recreation, and enrichment activities , with the flexibility to include dedicated homework or study time when helpful. We want to work with participating families and continually adapt the program around what works best for their children. Tennis and pickleball experience is strongly preferred, but absolutely not required. Finding someone who is great with kids, responsible, creative, and motivated to build a successful program is more important. Teachers, PE teachers, paraprofessionals, coaches, education students, recreation professionals, and others who enjoy working with children are strongly encouraged to apply. This may be an especially attractive opportunity for someone whose regular school or work schedule leaves Fridays available. Friday Is Just the Beginning Our goal is to use the Friday program as the foundation for PTPC's larger youth programming. The person hired for this position will have the opportunity to help develop and lead our approximately 10-12 week Summer Camp program next summer. A successful Friday Camp Director who wants additional responsibility could move naturally into the Summer Camp Director role , with significantly more hours available during the summer. As the Friday program grows, additional year-round hours and responsibilities may also become available. Candidates with appropriate tennis or pickleball playing, coaching, or teaching experience may have opportunities for additional paid hours throughout the week , including private lessons, group lessons, clinics, classes, and other PTPC programming. Responsibilities The Friday Youth Camp Director will: Help develop the structure, activities, and personality of PTPC's new Friday youth program Plan, organize, and lead Friday camp activities Create a fun, active, safe, and welcoming environment Introduce children to tennis and pickleball through age-appropriate games and activities Incorporate other sports, games, fitness, and recreational activities Provide optional structured homework or quiet study time when appropriate Learn about individual children's interests and needs and help customize their camp experience Actively supervise and engage with participants throughout the day Organize groups, activities, equipment, and transitions Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and positive behavior Communicate professionally and comfortably with parents and guardians Work with PTPC management to continually improve the program Help develop ideas for attracting new families and retaining current campers Assist in developing PTPC's upcoming summer camp program Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with children Is energetic, patient, dependable, and positive Is comfortable taking ownership and leading a group Can create structure while still making the day fun Brings new ideas rather than simply waiting to be told what to do Communicates well with children, parents, and coworkers Is comfortable participating in active sports and recreation Wants to help build and grow a program Is interested in potentially taking on additional hours and responsibilities Experience in any of the following is a plus: Teaching or physical education Youth recreation Summer camps Childcare Youth sports or coaching Tennis Pickleball Sports management or recreation Kinesiology or exercise science Extensive sports experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person. Compensation & Growth Opportunity Starting pay: $18

• 22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

In addition to hourly compensation, this position will be eligible for a program growth incentive/bonus program tied to successful camper recruitment, enrollment growth, and sustained participation. We want the person who helps us build a successful program to share in that success. Additional paid hours may become available as the program grows, and qualified candidates may also have opportunities to teach tennis or pickleball lessons and other PTPC programming. The Friday Youth Camp Director will also have the opportunity to advance into our Summer Camp Director position for next summer. Youth Safety Because this position involves working directly with children, the selected candidate will be required to successfully complete required background screening and become USTA Safe Play Approved . PTPC will assist the selected candidate with the Safe Play process. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification are preferred. Candidates willing to obtain certification will also be considered.

Fridays Additional hours may become available based on qualifications, program growth, and PTPC programming needs. Availability for our 10-12 week summer camp is strongly preferred. Why PTPC?
