In this role, you will lead engaging Tai Chi classes designed to promote physical health, mental well-being, and mindfulness among diverse age groups. Your expertise will help participants improve balance, flexibility, and overall vitality while fostering a positive and inclusive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire others through the art of Tai Chi and contribute to our community's health and happiness. Duties Lead structured Tai Chi classes for individuals of varying skill levels, emphasizing proper technique, breathing, and mindfulness practices Develop tailored lesson plans that incorporate elements of martial arts, physical education, and relaxation techniques Demonstrate Tai Chi movements clearly and safely, providing modifications for different abilities and age groups Monitor participant progress, offering personalized feedback to enhance their practice and confidence Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation, teamwork, and behavior management among students Collaborate with other fitness instructors to integrate Tai Chi into broader wellness programs such as yoga, martial arts, or sports coaching Maintain safety standards by ensuring proper use of equipment and supervising class activities diligently Requirements Proven experience in teaching Tai Chi or similar martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Kung Fu Background in Lifeguard experience or sports coaching is advantageous for managing physical activity sessions safely Strong skills in working with children and students, including behavior management techniques Knowledge of swimming, climbing, cheerleading, basketball or other sports is a plus for versatile instruction capabilities Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and foster a positive learning environment Certification as a Tai Chi instructor from a recognized organization is required; additional certifications in martial arts or physical education are preferred Prior experience working in health clubs or gyms is desirable to understand fitness facility operations Join us as a Certified Tai Chi Instructor and become a vital part of our mission to promote holistic health through movement, mindfulness, and martial arts.
