In this role, you will work with athletes ages 2-16, helping them build confidence, coordination, strength, and fundamental gymnastics skills in a positive and supportive environment. Coaches lead classes using curriculum and lesson guidelines provided by the Recreational Director, supervise equipment stations, and ensure every athlete has a safe and enjoyable experience. This position focuses on skill development, fun, and personal growth rather than competitive training.

Duties Coach Expectations:

Follow class curriculum, lesson plans, and coaching guidelines established by the Recreational Director. Create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for all athletes. Teach fundamental gymnastics skills appropriate to each age and ability level. Lead athletes through warm-ups, drills, stations, and skill progressions. Supervise athletes on all gymnastics equipment and activities. Ensure safety rules, gym policies, and class procedures are followed at all times. Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and constructive feedback. Track athlete progress and communicate achievements or concerns to supervisors as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional coaching area. Build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and fellow staff members. Assist with class setup, equipment organization, and cleanup. Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to coach each class. Promote confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for gymnastics. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude. Qualifications Experience in gymnastics instruction or sports coaching. Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with health club or gym environments ensures understanding of facility operations and safety standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students of all ages and skill levels. Strong behavior management skills to foster a positive learning atmosphere while maintaining discipline.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
