Reports To:
Director of Baseball Operations / Head Trainer Position Summary Arena SRQ is seeking an experienced and passionate Pitching Instructor to develop baseball players of all ages and skill levels, from youth athletes to collegiate and professional players. The ideal candidate is an energetic coach who values proper mechanics, arm care, athlete development, and building confidence both on and off the mound. This role involves private instruction, small group training, team sessions, and assisting with camps and clinics while helping grow Arena SRQ into Florida's premier baseball training facility. Key Responsibilities Conduct high-quality pitching lessons. Lead small group and team pitching sessions. Develop individualized throwing and pitching development plans. Teach proper mechanics, command, velocity development, and pitch design appropriate for each athlete. Educate athletes on arm care, recovery, warm-up routines, and injury prevention. Utilize technology and video analysis to evaluate mechanics and track progress (Rapsodo, Pocket Radar, VALD, etc. when available). Maintain lesson notes and communicate progress with athletes and parents. Assist with camps, showcases, clinics, and special events. Help create instructional content for social media and marketing initiatives. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment. Represent Arena SRQ with professionalism and positivity at all times. Qualifications Required Previous pitching instruction or coaching experience. Strong understanding of pitching mechanics and athlete development. Excellent communication skills with both athletes and parents. Ability to motivate and teach players ages 8 through collegiate. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented. Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Preferred Collegiate or professional playing experience. Experience using pitching technology and performance analytics. Strength and conditioning knowledge.
