About Us:

We are a family-focused Taekwondo academy dedicated to building confidence, discipline, and respect in students of all ages. Founded in 2006 in Naperville, YK Martial Arts has been going strong for over 20 years in the Chicagoland area and is looking for people to join our team. Who Are We Looking For? YK Martial Arts is seeking an energetic, highly motivated instructor who has a drive to share their passion of Martial Arts with others. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, and confident, with a strong ability to connect with students of all ages—especially children. We teach martial arts to all ages, but the bulk of our students generally range from ages 5-17. If you enjoy creating a fun, structured, and supportive environment while helping students build confidence and life skills, you'll be a great fit for our team. Valuing discipline, respect, and personal growth is a must, and being someone who leads by example both on and off the mat is very important to us. We're looking for a team player who is reliable, professional, and eager to continue learning and developing as an instructor.

Responsibilities:

Our core teaching duties consist of: Leading and assisting Taekwondo classes for students of all ages and skill levels Teaching proper technique, forms (Poomsae), drills, and controlled sparring Creating a structured, engaging, and positive class environment—especially for children Maintaining discipline and class control while keeping students motivated and having fun Ensuring student safety at all times and supervising all training activities Tracking student progress and helping prepare students for belt testing Providing encouragement, feedback, and mentorship to support student growth Assisting with school events, belt tests, and team activities Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional training environment Collaborating with other instructors and staff Loving what you do!

Requirements:

Some martial arts experience required. We can train you on how to become the best instructor you can be if you do not feel ready. Strong communication skills

Pay:

$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
