Job Description
About us Sierra Adaptive Gymnastics & Cheer LLC, nicknamed SAGC, is an adaptive gymnastics program founded by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). After noticing an increase in children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities without access to the same type of programs as their neurotypical peers, SAGC was founded to be that solution. There are not many recreational or competitive programs that are coached and created by a professional in the field of developmental disabilities that can take into account the adaptations and modifications that are needed for this population. In addition, there is an increased need for this population of individuals to expend energy, gain sensory input, and build motor skills in an organized setting. SAGC strives to provide just that for our athletes. We are rewarding, inclusive and fun.

Casual work attire Relaxed atmosphere Lively atmosphere Rewarding experience Adaptive Gymnastics Instructor Ability to work with both neurodivergent and neurotypical children if needing more hours.Duties:
- Teach gymnastics skills and techniques to students of various ages and developmental levels (SAGC athletes are all on the neurodivergent spectrum-Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing, Down syndrome, etc)
- Develop lesson plans and create a safe and engaging learning environment
- Provide demonstrations and instructions for proper form and technique
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and encouragement
- Ensure the safety of all students during classes and practice sessions
- Plan and organize gymnastics events, performances, or competitions
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate schedules and activities
Experience:
- Previous experience working with kids, teens, or adults with developmental disabilities is required.
- Previous experience working with students in a gymnastics or related field (e.g., Judo, swim, Martial arts, Karate, Cheerleading, Basketball, Physical education, Childcare, Dance)
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate with students of all ages, skill levels, and developmental levels
- Experience in behavior management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Passion for working with children on the neurodivergent spectrum and helping them develop their gymnastics skills We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$16.00- $18.
