The Assistant Center Director will work alongside Center Directors to help create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for students in underserved communities. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, adaptable, passionate about youth development, and aligned with Club Christ's mission to empower urban youth to transform their communities for Christ. Key Responsibilities Assist Center Directors with daily after-school programming Help supervise and engage K-12 students in tutoring, mentoring, and enrichment activities Support classroom management and student behavior expectations Build positive relationships with students and families Help facilitate activities, games, homework support, literacy intervention, and Bible studies Fill in at Learning Centers when a Center Director is absent or on leave Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and leadership Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized environment Represent Club Christ professionally within apartment communities and partner locations Qualifications Passion for working with youth in underserved communities Strong relational and communication skills Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt quickly Comfortable working in diverse urban environments A follower of Jesus Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and volunteers Prior experience in youth ministry, education, mentoring, tutoring, or nonprofit work preferred Alignment with Club Christ's mission and values Must pass a background check Preferred Characteristics Teachable and team-oriented Strong initiative and problem-solving ability Emotionally mature and consistent Positive attitude and servant-hearted leadership Strong relationship with Jesus Comfortable stepping into different Center environments as needed
Position Type:
Part-Time Independent Contractor (1099)
Hours:
Approximately 10-15 hours per week. Schedule follows the Club Christ Learning Center calendar (off during June and late July breaks)
Pay:
