CAMP-STEM Specialist

Summary:

The STEM Specialist is responsible for planning and leading engaging science activities for campers in a safe, fun and educational environment. This role encourages creativity, teamwork and hands on learning through age-appropriate projects and experiments.

Responsibilities :

• Plan and lead daily STEM-based activities for campers age 4-8 ½ years old.
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Supervise campers during activities and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Adapt lessons and activities to different age groups and skill levels.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of STEM materials and equipment.
• Encourage teamwork, creativity and critical thinking.
• Assist with general camp activities, events and transitions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a camp, school or educational setting preferred.
• Background or interest in STEM fields, education and science.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage groups of children in an active environment.
• Must be reliable, energetic, patient and creative.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a seasonal position. Days and hours are generally Monday Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk and actively supervise campers throughout the day.
• Ability to lift and carry camp supplies and equipment as needed.

Pay:

$1,800.00 - $2,000.00 per month
