Job Description

PART-TIME POSITION
This is a seasonal position at the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis that Starts June 15th, 2026 and will last until August 28th, 2026.
Hours:
Part-Time, non-exempt : Monday through Friday, a 5.75-hour shift between the hours of 7:15AM and 5:45PM, as assigned by your manager.

Summer Camp Directors WAGE:
$16.00 per hour, plus state accrued sick leave
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Summer Club Staff provides supervision and enrichment support for youth attending our BGCC Summer program. Working with the leadership team, support the delivery of engaging enrichment activities with the intent to create a fun environment where youth develop resiliency, problem-solving skills, and social skills. Staff are responsible for engaging members in the process of encouraging youth to try new skills and expand their interests. A good Summer Club Staff is highly engaging, outgoing, fun, friendly, and supports all youth in having a great time at Summer Club.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise children grades K-8th Implement practices and processes that promote a safe, positive environment. Assist in the implementation of positive behavioral incentive systems and individual student behavioral plans. Assist in implementing weekly highlyengaging, provided activity plans for both academic and enrichment times (utilizing Program Quality Assessment principles), including sports and games, arts & crafts, STEM, academics (to include literacy support and activities), drama, music and/or other activities that are of interest to children, with an emphasis on creativity, fun, and academic enrichment. Provide positive guidance and discipline in accordance with site policies through goal setting, natural & logical consequences, positive redirection, and encouragement. Establish and maintain positive relationships with other staff, outside partners, parents, and youth. Ensure all classrooms/activity spaces are set-up prior to program start and properly cleaned up at the end of programming. Attend all training sessions, staff meetings, and Family nights or BGCC functions as needed. Other duties as assigned by Summer Camp Directors.
REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with school age children in an organized group setting (i.e. classroom, kindergarten, school age childcare, recreation program or comparable setting). Excellent communication skills for fun and effective interactions with youth and team members. A current CPR and First Aid certification is required within one month of employment. Be able to pass a background check.
