Job Description
After School Teacher / Coach Kids 'R' Kids North Austin is looking for an energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic After School Teacher/Coach to join our team! If you enjoy working with school-age children, leading fun activities, and creating memorable experiences, we'd love to meet you. Position Summary As an After School Teacher/Coach, you will supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, structured, and fun environment. You'll lead a variety of activities including science projects, sports, games, field trips, and special events while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. Responsibilities Supervise groups of 10-50 school-age children while maintaining a safe and engaging environment. Plan and lead hands-on activities, including science projects, arts and crafts, sports, and team-building games. Coach and participate in activities such as basketball, soccer, and other recreational games. Transport children safely using a school mini bus for field trips and school pick-ups (training provided if needed). Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure children are accounted for at all times. Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's day. Work collaboratively with teachers and administration. Address behavior concerns using positive guidance and classroom management techniques. Assist with preparing for field trips, special events, and summer camp activities. Follow all licensing regulations and Kids 'R' Kids policies to ensure the safety and well-being of every child. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older . High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to drive a mini bus. Previous experience working with children is preferred. Coaching, sports, recreation, or camp experience is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in outdoor activities.
