Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated MMA/Grappling Coach to inspire and develop athletes of all skill levels in mixed martial arts, grappling, and Sambo. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead dynamic training sessions, foster a positive team environment, and help students achieve their personal best. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for martial arts, strong communication skills, and experience working with diverse age groups, especially children and youth. Your role will be pivotal in promoting physical fitness, discipline, and confidence through engaging coaching methods. Duties Design and deliver comprehensive MMA and grappling training programs tailored to individual skill levels and goals Lead group classes focusing on techniques such as takedowns, submissions, ground control, and striking integration Foster a safe training environment by enforcing proper technique, behavior management, and safety protocols including AED operation and first aid/CPR readiness Provide coaching on sports-specific skills while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development Communicate effectively with clients and parents about progress, goals, and safety considerations Incorporate teaching methods suitable for working with children and students of various ages to promote engagement and learning Maintain equipment, ensure cleanliness of training areas, and adhere to health club or facility standards Experience Prior experience in martial arts such as Judo, Wrestling or Mauy Thai is highly desirable Demonstrated background in sports coaching or physical education instruction with a focus on MMA and Sambo Experience working with children or youth in sports or childcare settings Knowledge of team leadership principles within sports environments Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or similar safety training preferred Proven ability to teach physical skills effectively while managing behavior in a group setting Background in other sports such as soccer, basketball, climbing or gymnastics is a plus for versatile coaching skills Join us to empower aspiring fighters and fitness enthusiasts through energetic coaching that emphasizes skill development, safety, and fun!
