In this role, you will lead engaging chess sessions for students after school hours, fostering strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and sportsmanship. Your energy and passion for teaching will create a positive learning environment that encourages growth, confidence, and enjoyment of the game. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development while promoting critical thinking skills. Duties Plan and deliver interactive chess lessons tailored to students' skill levels, from beginners to advanced players Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants Teach fundamental chess concepts, strategies, and rules while encouraging critical thinking and creativity Provide individual or group tutoring to help students improve their game and understanding of chess tactics Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Organize friendly competitions and tournaments to motivate students and build community spirit Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student participation and progress Requirements Proven experience in teaching or tutoring children or adolescents, preferably in a classroom or extracurricular setting Strong knowledge of chess rules, strategies, and gameplay techniques Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners effectively Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and positively motivate students Experience working with children in an educational or childcare environment is highly desirable Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners Reliable transportation and availability during after-school hours Join us in inspiring the next generation of strategic thinkers!
