Elementary After-School CHESS Club Instructor (Part-Time) Afterschool Enrichment Solutions - 4.1 Seattle, WA Job Details Contract $30 - $40 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Full Job Description Have fun teaching after-school CHESS classes to groups of elementary school kids! Afterschool Enrichment Solutions was founded in 2001 as an after-school chess club. Today we work with thousands of schools and provide a wide array of programming to over 30,000 students. This rewarding part-time position offers compensation of $30-$40 per hour, with a guarantee of 2 hours paid per class. Classes meet once a week for an hour. Please note you must arrive 15 minutes early to class and supervise dismissal, hence the 2-hour time slot. Instructors will only teach 1 class per day. We have a teaching option available with the following schedule:

11/11, 11/25 An ideal candidate has excellent classroom management skills and an energetic personality. The children are mostly between the ages of 6 and 12. Experience with youth a plus. Reliable transportation is required. Commitment for the full 12 week session is required; longer-term commitment is preferred. This is a part-time 1099 position. Know someone who fits the mold? Expectations:
Must be available for all dates Must arrive to class 15-minutes prior to start Payments are issued on a monthly basis, following month of service, i.e. October classes are issued in November, on or before the 21st of the month Must communicate behavioral concerns to scheduling manager Must clear a background check Must complete a W-9, this is a contract position All materials needed for class will be available on-site Programs are held at an elementary school, after regular school hours Must be able to travel to 98107 zip code Must be willing to complete Virtus training through the Seattle Diocese. This is a catholic workshop, there is no fee or cost to complete this training.
