School:
The Sandler School of Social
Work is housed within Florida Atlantic University's College of Social Work and Criminal Justice and serves a dynamic and growing student
population that includes more than 500 BSW students and over 400 MSW students across traditional and online learning formats. The School
also offers a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program, the first of its kind in the State of Florida, designed to prepare advanced practitioners
and leaders in higher education, administration, and clinical practice. As part of a nationally recognized public research
university, the Sandler School continues to expand its academic programs, interdisciplinary collaborations, research initiatives, and
community partnerships throughout South Florida and beyond. Faculty are actively engaged in teaching, scholarship, workforce development,
and community-based initiatives that address complex social challenges and strengthen partnerships with schools, healthcare systems,
behavioral health organizations, nonprofit agencies, and government entities. The Sandler School of Social Work is home to several
centers and institutes that support research, training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community engagement across South Florida and
beyond. These initiatives provide faculty and students with opportunities to engage in applied research, workforce development, policy
initiatives, and community-based partnerships addressing complex social challenges across the lifespan. The School includes the Child Welfare Institute, which advances education, training, and research initiatives focused on child welfare and family support
systems; the Healthy Aging Academy, which promotes interdisciplinary approaches to aging, wellness, and quality of life for older
adults; the Robin Rubin Center for Happiness and Life Enhancement, which supports research and programming focused on well-being,
resilience, and positive human development; and the Center for Integrated Recovery and Wellness Studies, which advances
recovery-oriented research, behavioral health initiatives, and integrated approaches to wellness and community care. These centers and
institutes strengthen the School's commitment to innovation, community impact, and collaborative partnerships while expanding opportunities
for faculty engagement, student involvement, grant activity, and interdisciplinary scholarship. The School is committed to fostering
an engaging academic environment that supports innovation in teaching, experiential learning, student mentorship, and meaningful community
impact. With continued growth in enrollment, expanded practicum and fellowship opportunities, and increased investment in research and
workforce initiatives, the Sandler School offers faculty the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking academic
