The Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work at Florida AtlanticUniversity invites applications for a full-time Instructor position within our Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Master of Social Work (MSW),and Doctor of Social Work (DSW) programs. This is a 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty appointment designed for an educator committed toexcellence in teaching, student engagement, and professional service. The candidate will primarily support instructional needs acrossthe School's academic programs through teaching responsibilities in the online MSW program, with a primary focus on fully online and livesynchronous Zoom courses. The faculty member will be expected to deliver high-quality, engaging instruction that supports student learningand professional development across diverse learning modalities and student populations. While the primary assignment will be withinthe online MSW program, the selected candidate may also teach courses in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats and may be assignedinstructional responsibilities on any Florida Atlantic University campus, including Boca Raton and Davie, based on programmatic needs. The position includes responsibilities related to curriculum delivery, student mentoring, participation in School and University serviceactivities, and collaboration with faculty and staff to support programmatic growth and student success. The ideal candidate willdemonstrate a commitment to high-quality instruction across diverse learning modalities and populations while contributing to the continuedadvancement of the School's mission and strategic priorities. The Sandler School of Social Work is housed within FloridaAtlantic University's College of Social Work and Criminal Justice and serves a dynamic and growing student population that includes morethan 500 BSW students and over 400 MSW students across traditional and online learning formats. The School also offers a Doctor of SocialWork (DSW) program, the first of its kind in the State of Florida, designed to prepare advanced practitioners and leaders in highereducation, administration, and clinical practice. Primary Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate social work courses within the BSW, MSW, and DSW programs across face-to-face, hybrid, and onlinelearning environments. Provide high-quality instruction on the Boca Raton and Davie campuses, as well as through the School'sonline programs. Develop, revise, and maintain course materials, syllabi, assignments, and instructional activities that alignwith CSWE accreditation standards and University policies. Support student learning, academic success, and professionaldevelopment through mentoring, advising, and timely communication. Contribute to School, College, and University serviceactivities, including committee participation, faculty meetings, recruitment events, and community engagement initiatives. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and practicum education teams to support student placement, retention, and experiential learningopportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program Minimum of two years of post-MSW professional experience Experience teaching online in higher education
