King University is accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor for theBachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. The primary appointment will be in the fully online BSW program. This is a full-time, twelve-monthteaching position to start Fall 2026 and carries an annual load of 24 hours. Position can be fully remote. Provide leadership,supervision, mentorship, in online BSW course instruction; Be engaged in ongoing and new program development efforts; Be familiar with the
CSWE 2022
Educational and Policy Accreditation Standards EPAS; Effectively utilize technology as part of both the teaching andadministrative functions of this position; Design courses, as necessary; Serve on academic and program committees; Evaluate student learningand field requirements congruent with Social Work competencies; Have the ability to speak to individuals and groups regarding recruitmentefforts and teaching; Engage in the Social Work club (Social Work Action Group) and honor society (Chi Omega); Assist withupdates/maintenance of the BSW Student Handbook / Field Education Manual, as necessary; Work closely with the Department of Social WorkChair, BSW/MSW Program Coordinators, Field Education Directors, and Social Work faculty on matters pertaining to field education,accreditation, and general program maintenance; Report directly to the BSW Program Coordinator.
Qualifications:
Applicantsmust hold a minimum of a MSW from a CSWE-accredited college/university and a minimum of 2-years of direct practice experience post-MSWdegree. Applicants must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, competence in the usage oftechnology and proficiency in utility of the APA style (latest edition).
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Social Work;Experience in teaching online and curriculum development in higher education; Direct practice experience; Knowledge of Council on SocialWork Education accreditation requirements and application at the BSW level. The preferred candidate will also possess excellent verbal,digital communication, and technological skills, including proficiency with learning management systems (Canvas), facility with onlinecommunication platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Google apps, etc. Candidate must be well-organized.
