Summary The Department of Humanities at Regis College invites applications for an Adjunct Lecturer to teach SO-201: Introduction to Sociology during the Spring 2027 semester. This course will be conducted in-person on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00-10:50. Course Description This course introduces students to the major theories, theorists, concepts, and methods used in the study of society. It considers a variety of topics including culture, socialization, gender, racial, economic, and social class divisions. (Instructor has the freedom to construct a syllabus and decide on course content in consultation with department Chair, so long as course description and outcomes are unchanged.) Essential Functions Teaching SO-201 Ensuring appropriate pedagogical design, implementation, and assessment of the course Providing timely feedback to students and hold office hours at least 2 hours/week (this can be done via Zoom)
