Aug 15, 2026 Description The Department of Sociology at The University of Texas at Austin seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenure track positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are normally made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes a year-long or years-long appointment may be made. Positions are renewable annually or multi-annually, contingent upon funding, position and performance. Salary is dependent upon position and qualifications. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Sociology is preferred. Previous college-level teaching experience is required.
