Description :
The University of Houston is seeking to hire part-time Adjunct Faculty for Undergraduate Student Success courses. This position will instruct a one-hour or three-hour section of
USS 1101/1301
College Success. This course introduces first year students to success strategies transition to college, academic success in the first year and beyond, and selection of a right-fit major and career. The instructor is responsible for understanding and interpreting the provided curriculum, facilitating the one hour and a half synchronous online class each week, grading, responding to student inquiries outside of class, and generally supporting and nurturing first year students through the first semester of college and beyond. Qualifications
  • Current familiarity and experience with UH campus/student life required.
  • Experience working in areas related to early college success.
  • A demonstrated interest in undergraduate success.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
