Job Description

Long-term Special Education paraprofessionals to work Monday through Friday at Madison County. There are long-term paraprofessionals needed at the following
Madison County Schools:
Endeavor Elementary School-1 vacancy Harvest Elementary School
  • 2 vacancies Hazel Green High School-1 vacancy Madison Cross Roads Elementary School
  • 1 vacancy Monrovia Middle School-1 vacancy Sparkman Middle School
  • 1 vacancy There is a long-term paraprofessional needed at the following
Madison City School:
Columbia Elementary School-1 vacancy Heritage Elementary School-1 vacancy Rainbow Elementary School-1 vacancy Schools with a (
  • ) require an Associate's degree, 48 college credit hours earned, or a 3 on WorkKeys tests.
Dependent upon assignment, but always under direct supervision of District/School employees, this role may be working directly in one of the following: A special education classroom A general education classroom or environment One-on-one with a student or small group of students A paraprofessional provides classroom assistance to students with disabilities and to the assigned District/School teacher, who has ultimate responsibility for designing and implementing educational programs, activities and services. Classroom assistance provided by the paraprofessional may include assisting with: Academic needs such as Reading and/or Math Behavior needs such as helping to keep student(s) on task and/or deescalating distracting/inappropriate behaviors Personal needs of students such as lifting, holding, diapering, assistance with hand-over hand feeding, or restroom assistance
Pay:
$15.00
