This contract position, situated in a supportive school environment near Marion, AL, runs from mid-September to December, with a potential for extension based on evolving needs. As a key part of the team, you'll guide educators, families, and students through the evaluation process—ensuring each learner receives the support and tools they deserve. What you'll do: Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations for students ages 2-21, addressing a variety of learning and behavioral needs. Utilize standardized assessment tools and interpret results to identify educational and cognitive strengths and challenges. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and administrators. Develop comprehensive evaluation reports with recommendations tailored to each student. Participate in eligibility determination meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide ongoing guidance to staff and families regarding assessment findings and intervention strategies. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations related to special education assessments.

Desired qualifications:

Certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician and/or Psychometrist. Experience with evaluation techniques for a broad age range, especially early childhood through adolescence.
