Full Job Description Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction to students in various subjects, including literacy, math, and science
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique learning needs of each student
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to create a supportive learning environment
• Conduct assessments and track student progress to inform instructional decisions
• Utilize behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
• Implement early intervention strategies for students who require additional support
• Provide speech therapy services to students with communication disorders
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Proficiency in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Experience in conducting assessments and using data to inform instructional decisions
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Knowledge of early intervention strategies for young learners with special needs
• Familiarity with literacy education techniques for students with learning disabilities
• Understanding of childhood development milestones and appropriate instructional approaches
• Collaboration skills to work effectively with other educators, parents, and specialists
• Knowledge of child welfare policies and procedures related to special education services
