Conduct assessments of child development progress through standardized testing and observational techniques to inform instruction. Engage in ongoing lesson planning that incorporates child welfare principles, early intervention strategies, and age-appropriate activities. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental goals, and address any concerns with professionalism and clarity. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare at all times. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool activities, and daycare routines. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices. Familiarity with curriculum development for early intervention programs, literacy education, and Montessori methodologies. Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in special education or childhood development are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure a safe learning environment. Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners including those requiring special education support or early intervention services.
