Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students' growth in vibrant K-6 special education classrooms. We're seeking multiple dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience or strong interest in working within a K-6 special education setting Ability to create adaptive lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs) Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students with a wide range of learning differences Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in consultation with a multidisciplinary team Utilize evidence-based strategies and positive behavior supports to foster student progress Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and school administration Maintain an organized, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Take part in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices This position features contract employment with a schedule designed to support work-life balance: Monday through Thursday, 7:15 am-4:15 pm, leaving Fridays open for planning, collaboration, or personal time.
