Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in a dynamic educational setting near Fort Smith, AR. Key Qualifications:
Valid DHH Educator certification required Experience working as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or similar role in school environments Comfortable developing and implementing IEPs tailored to student needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction directly to students on a 1:1 basis, supporting their academic and communication goals outlined in their IEPs Provide instructional sessions Tuesday through Friday for 1 to 1.5 hours each day Collaborate with other educators and specialists to ensure holistic support for each student Maintain accurate documentation of progress and communicate regularly with parents and staff Use effective teaching strategies and adaptive methodologies suited to students with hearing differences Why consider this role?
