Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education. Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the high school level. Strong knowledge of IEPs and ability to develop and implement them effectively. Excellent communication skills when collaborating with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to addressing a range of learning abilities and challenges. Creative problem-solving skills to support differentiated instruction within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students' unique learning profiles. Draft, review, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Track student progress, assess learning, and adjust instructional methods to ensure growth. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to create inclusive classroom environments. Communicate proactively with families, providing updates and guidance regarding student performance and needs. Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom culture.
