Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting student success as a High School Special Education Resource Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to equip students with the individualized attention and instruction they need to thrive. Work alongside a dedicated team of educators to foster an inclusive and supportive high school learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience providing push-in resource support within a high school setting is highly desirable Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with general education teachers and related service providers Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Compassionate and patient with a commitment to student growth and advocacy Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver push-in support to high school students with diverse learning needs, ensuring access to the general education curriculum Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to modify and adapt instructional materials Develop, review, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals Provide targeted interventions and track progress to ensure optimal student outcomes Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional learning opportunities Maintain a positive classroom environment, building strong relationships with students
Position Details:
