Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference by supporting K-6 students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic elementary school environment. This contract opportunity calls for passionate teachers who are ready to provide exceptional education and individualized support in special education classrooms. Located near Hindsville, AR, this role offers a unique chance to collaborate with a dedicated team and impact student lives directly.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain certification) Previous experience in elementary special education preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and instructional adaptation Effective communicator with students, parents, and educational staff Skilled in classroom management and implementing positive behavioral interventions Collaborative, flexible, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and support K-6 students with varying disabilities in special education classrooms Develop and implement IEPs, track goals, and report on student progress Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet individual learning needs Foster a supportive, safe, and positive classroom atmosphere Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff Engage in family communication and meetings to support student development Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices
Role Details:
