Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting high school students as a push-in resource teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position is located near Huntsville, AR, and offers a chance to make a lasting impact on students' academic and personal growth in an inclusive learning environment. The role follows a Monday through Thursday schedule, from 7:30am to 4:30pm, allowing for a focused, consistent workweek. You'll collaborate closely with general education teachers, provide tailored support, and help students achieve their individual goals.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for high school level Demonstrated experience in resource or inclusion settings, preferably with high school students Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Effective classroom management and problem-solving abilities Key responsibilities: Deliver push-in resource support to high school classrooms, differentiating instruction based on student needs Collaborate with general education staff to modify curriculum and instruction for students with disabilities Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEPs Maintain comprehensive records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines Provide regular updates to families and participate in student meetings Foster an inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners Take this opportunity to advance your career while making a meaningful difference in high school students' lives.
