Job Description

Position Overview The Arkansas Behavior Support Specialists (BSS) are seeking a dedicated Administrative Analyst to join our team. The Administrative Analyst provides administrative, logistical, and programmatic support for educational initiatives within the Arkansas Department of Education, Office of Special Education. This position assists with program planning, grant management, and implementation of professional learning opportunities while coordinating communication with local education agencies, education cooperatives, and other stakeholders. The analyst ensures the efficient operation of programs and supports the successful delivery of educational services across the state. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination and Support Schedule and organize regional and statewide professional development events. Support the preparation and distribution of educational materials and resources. Assist with program evaluation activities, including documentation, data collection, and reporting. Collaborate with BSS staff and stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery. Grant and Project Management Support project management of grant activities and initiatives. Track and monitor grant expenditures using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel. Promote grant initiatives through newsletters, digital media, and social media platforms. Communication and Stakeholder Support Communicate with local education agencies (LEAs), education cooperatives, and other partners regarding program activities. Facilitate internal and external program communication. Take meeting notes and prepare summaries or reports as needed. Administrative and Operational Support Maintain accurate records, documentation, and program files. Manage program websites, including updating content and maintaining online resources. Create and edit digital media such as newsletters and informational videos. Organize travel arrangements and conference logistics. Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately. Order and maintain supplies. Inventory and manage program equipment and loaned materials. Troubleshoot basic issues with office equipment (computers, copiers, postage meters, fax machines). Required Skills Strong organizational and project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Basic knowledge of educational technology and digital communication tools. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field. Experience in an educational setting (internship, volunteer, or employment). Knowledge of educational principles and practices. Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders. Demonstrated organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to ongoing professional learning. Compensation and Work Schedule This is a full-time, 12-month (260-day) position located in Little Rock, Arkansas . The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package and is available July 1. This position reports directly to the Behavior Support Specialist Coordinator.
