Key Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is mandatory Previous experience working with visually impaired students strongly preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Enthusiasm for working 1:1 with pediatric learners and providing long-term support

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver personalized instruction to a visually impaired student, following the established IEP Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet individual needs Collaborate with other educational professionals, specialists, and family members Document progress and provide regular reports on student performance and objectives Advocate for your student and promote self-advocacy skills Utilize assistive technology and specialized resources as needed Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities
